PARTY PARTY PARTY!
How to throw a great Cheese & Wine bash

Presentation is critical when it comes to a cheese & wine party.

Less is more:
Focus on no more than five cheeses. In fact, we suggest three (just make them good). Estimate about 4.5 ounces or 125 grams of cheese per person.

The stinky cheese factor:
You may love a cheese with funk, but your guests may have a more timid palate. Tone it down, or up, based on who is set to appear.

The cheese board:
Paper plates are not ideal for serving cheese. Invest in a platter made of wood or marble that is large enough to separate the cheeses. Make sure the colour of the board is pleasant to the eye and can act as a contrast to your selections.
Cheese rind:
Leave it on and eat it too. But please do remove the wrapper.

Knives:
Have one cheese knife per selection.
Temperature:
Cheese belongs in the fridge of course, but never serve it cold. Let it stand until it is at room temperature. The difference in taste is immense.

Crackers, Dried Fruit, Nuts & Bread:
Good quality crackers, fresh crusty bread.

Chocolate:
There is only one kind of chocolate to serve at a wine and cheese:  strong, dark chocolate.

  1. Oh! Yummy! Cheese and chocolate always make my mouth watery. And I think these two things are very important for a successful party. I am also hosting a party for all my friends in one of the event locations of our city and I am definitely going to include wine, cheese and chocolate!
